Schizophrenia

Lasts for at least six months with at least one month of active phase symptoms
Positive symptoms
delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech, catatonic behavior
Negative symptoms
affective flattening, alogia (lack of normal additional content of speech) and avolition (general lack of drive or motivation)
Associated features
inappropriate affect, anhedonia, dysphoric mood, abnormalities in motor behavior, and somatic complaints.
May have memory impairment, lack of insight, an depersonalization
Onset late teens to early 30s

Paranoid
Disorganized
Catatonic
Undifferentiated
Residual

Schizophreniform disorder

Identical to Schizophrenia except disturbance has lasted 1 month but less than six. Impaired social and occupational functioning is not required to make this diagnosis.

Schizoaffective disorder

uninterrupted period of disturbance in which there are concurrent symptoms of a mood disorder and the psychotic, active phase symptoms are present without a mood disorder for at least two weeks.

Delusional Disorder

Presence of one or more non bizzare delusions that last at least one month

Brief Psychotic disorder

delusions, hallucination, disorganized speech, and or grossly catatonic behavior that is present for at least one day but less that one month (with eventual return to full functioning)

Shared psychotic disorder

A delusional system that develops in a person as a consequence of close relationship with someone who already has an established delusion

Psychotic disorder due to GMC

Subtance induced psychotic disorder

As a result of drug abuse medication or toxin
