What does Jesus teach about you and sin?
Instead of refuting and judging others, judge yourself and find the sin within. Then using the Lord’s Prayer ask for forgiveness.
What does reconciliation between you and God allow?
People can now deal with others with compassion and reconciliation as opposed to condemnation.
Define social justice.
Justice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunity and privileges within society.
Why is social justice important?
Everyone should be treated equally as everyone is as valuable as each other before God.
What can Christians do to promote social justice?
Buy fair trade, raise awareness about human trafficking and other social issues, support the salvation army
What does peace and a just society help with?
If there is peace within communities, there are fewer reasons to begin conflict. People won’t feel discriminated reducing violent acts of terrorism.
If crime is appropriately dealt with, people feel safer and report to the police instead of taking the law into their own hands.
What is a Christian response to social injustice?
It is their responsibility to stand up and defend the oppressed and weak.
Injustice should be challenged
Each human is equal in God’s eyes.
What is the liberation theology?
Christian idea that God has the power to change situations of injustice in the world.
What is the response of Christians in relation to the liberation theology?
Stand up against corrupt governments and authorities whom misuse their power. Take part in peaceful protests and support those harmed by injustice.
