- At post treatment the treatment group showed statistically significant improvement in number of drinking days, number of heavy drinking days and psychological functioning.

- At 8 month follow up improvements were maintained on a number of heavy drinking days and psychological functioning

- Reductions in reported interpersonal problems across the pre-post assessment period were not significant.
