1

When you get a AMBER color on your Fuel Flow?

Fuel flow is greater than 5,000lbs per hour.
Fuel flow input is invalid

2

Why would you a AMBER color for Fuel Quantity?

Fuel imbalance is greater than 800lbs
Total quantity is 900lbs or less
One wing is 450lbs or less

3

When in cold condition what is a pre caution for your fuel?

Making sure the fuel isnt freezing
On the ground -30C
In Flight -40C

4

How many fuel tanks does our a/c have?

4

5

How much fuel is held in the MAIN(FUEL) TANKS?

Two tanks 4760lbs

6

What direction does the center tank send fuel and how?

Center tanks can only send to the MAINS through trans ejectors.

7

How much weight can be held in the CENTER tank?

4998lbs. Extended range tank.

8

What is the purpose of the Collector Tanks?

To keep a constant fuel supply to the onside engine.

9

What kind of vents are used?

NACA air scoops. They provide both static and dynamic venting.

10

When associate with fuel, what will the MASTER WARNING light, and RH(LH) FIRE PUSH do when you deactivate the light?

Closes the associated fuel shutoff valve
ARMS Squib bottles.

11

How many dc capacitance type probes are there?

6 in each wing tank, 3 in the center.

12

Total fuel?

MAINS: 4,760lbs (2x)
CENTER:4,988lbs
TOTAL: 14,518lbs

13

How many EJECTOR, ELECTRIC DRIVEN FUEL, AND ENGINE DRIVEN pumps do we have?

Ejector- 2 main, 2 transfer, and 2 scavenge.
Electric- 2 DC boost, 1 xflow/APU Pump
Engine- 2

14

What electrical action makes the engine driven pump operate?

The N2 accessory drive turns the pump drive shaft.

15

How is fuel temp measured?

After it has gone through heat exchanger(fuel/oil) and its transmitted to EICAS along with the filter status.

16

Which N is controlled by Hydro mechanicals?

N2-releases fuel to the injectors based on the pump drive shaft speed.

17

Which N is controlled by electric torque motor?

N1

18

What is the purpose of the XFLOW/APU PUMP?

APU- receives fuel from this or the XFLOW NEGATIVE-G relief line.
XFLOW- turned on automatically or manually by overhead fuel.

19

When will the DC BOOST PUMPS activate when armed?

Serves as a back-up(Batman and Robin) when a main ejector isnt working.

20

What does the Fuel System Computer do?

AHRS, QUANTITY, DENSITY, TEMP, FUEL CONTROL PANEL.

21

When will the fuel transfer be needed?

L or R mains are 94% of 4760.
>200lbs imbalance then 50lbs more than the original side.

22

How would you change the balance of the tanks manually with using AUTOMATIC CROSSFLOW?

Select xflow/auto override button MAN the L or R side on the xflow to open that valve.

23

At what point will your fuel be warmed up before t/o?

Inside the fuel pump
