Examples of high waged International migration

A
  • Rich Russians moving to London, because during the process of dissolution, business people required soviet era industries
  • This made many business owners very rich
  • Lots of Russians bought homes in the wealthiest boroughs of London as well as owning property in London
  • this migration allowed the Russian elite to access the global financial markets in return for the U.K. benefitting from their investments.

Examples of low waged international migration

A

Fewer then 1/8 people in Dubai are citizens of the UAE
Many educated Indians have a comfortable lime in Dubai
Asian guest workers, 60% of the population, work 12-hour shifts in high temps for little money ($5 a day) to send remittances home.
Many migrants are trapped in the UAE due to debts and work visa payments
