An order given to effect immediate evacuation of a structure or area that is deemed imminently dangerous by a Group/Division officer or the Incident Commander.
Code Red
-Use of the term CODE RED implies that Fire Alarm will initiate Emergency Radio Traffic.
A low background tone that repeats approximately every ten seconds to remind/alert personnel that Emergency Radio Traffic Only restrictions are in effect on that frequency.
Channel Marker Tones
An order to limit radio traffic on a frequency to only the traffic needed to manage an operational emergency.

-Emergency Radio Traffic conditions are announced by Emergency Alert Tones and indicated by continuing Channel Marker Tones.

Emergency Alert Tones
-Emergency alert tones will be broadcast on the command tactical frequency for a continuous six seconds to initiate Emergency Radio Traffic.
What is the procedure for calling for an organized withdrawal out of a structure fire?
Tell Fire Alarm to initiate Emergency Radio Traffic Procedure. After FA announces that Emergency Radio Traffic is in effect, the IC announces the organized withdrawal of the structure.

Proper sequence to calling a Code Red

Anyone can call a Code Red through then IC or Fire Alarm
- FA calls for the Code Red on all tactical channels being used
- Emergency Channel Markers are heard on all radio traffic
- Pump operators sound their air horns for 10 seconds and can surge the hand lines a minimum of 3 times if the situation is appropriate
- All crews vacate the building and report to their division/group supervisor
- A PAR is initiated
- once all crews are accounted for the Code Red can be terminated
- Set up perimeter barriers and consider additional alarms
