Q

what is an immunisation

A

An immunisation or vaccination is given to people of all ages to prevent diseases such as mumps, measles and rubella. A small dose of the disease is given to the person. The body produces antibodies to fight the disease. If the person comes into contact with the disease again, the body is ready to fight it and doesn’t catch it.
