A
  • Check scanner is operating correctly by scanning reference chip
  • Hold scanner no more than 5cm from skin
  • Scan slowly; no more than 50cm per second
  • Conduct 2 sweeps of animal from back of head => middle of back, shoulders elbow => elbow
  • If chip detected, keep scanning to check for 2nd chip
