What is a multivalent element?

An element with more than one ion (charge).

3

What is a special consideration for naming multivalent elements?

Add a numeral to identify the charge.

4

What are the rules for simplifying the charges in ionic and molecular compounds?

You CAN simplify ionic compounds (and should).
You CANNOT simplify molecular compounds (ie. C6H12O6)

5

What is a molecule?

Two or more non-metallic atoms bonded together.
