Judit y yo nos conocimos desde hace más de 50 años. (probably can use hemos conocido but don´t, has a subtle different meaning which I do not understand) - desde que - subordinate clause + verb

Ojalá que hubiera podido estar allá.
Ojalá que yo pudiera haber estado allá.
You can say Ojalá que pudiera haber estado but Julio says using haber plus past participle is better and Walter says it sounds more natural so REMEMBER

Si pudiera haberme ido, lo habria hecho- o Si hubiera podido irme, lo hubiera hecho (can use in subjunctive and seems this is used a lot in LA, it is but grammatical should be huberia podido irme, lo habría hecho).

si (hubiera + past participle + inf) + (habría + past part)
