Q

how to make and when to use present progressive tense

A

nothing called this really, it is estar + gerund (present participle: ando/iendo)

  • only use (present progressive) to describe a developing action (right now, or unusual, out-of-habit). Él está limpiando. Estoy escribiendo.
  • if a developing action is habitual - use present tense. Normalmente ella trabaja en el centro, pero este mes está trabajando fuera de la ciudad. (Normally she works in the center, but this month she is working outside the city.
