Cum + Subjunctive

Use SINCE.
'Surely you had been angry SINCE since you had been caught destroying the wall?'

'num' = 'whether' in indirect questions

Used to explain why something was done.

uses 'ut' = 'in order to'
and 'ne' = 'in order not to'
'You were all being taught in order to teach you something'

SIMILAR TO PURPOSE CLAUSES
Uses 'ut' and 'ne' in same way.
recognised by words like 'moneo' 'oro' 'persuadeo' 'rogo' and 'horto'
'The king ordered the return of all the fugitives'

Result Clauses

Use the word 'so' or similar in the middle of the sentence to recognise them.
'The boy was so stupid that he understood nothing.'
