Set up

A

Place one drop of iodine into each depression on the spotting tile
Set up water baths at ice cold, room temperature and body temperature
Put 5cm3 of starch and 1cm3 of amylase into each water bath
Add one test tube of each and mix with a glass rod

Practical

A

Add one drop of each solution into the first depression
Keep stirring the solution and add a drop to the next depression each minute
When two consecutive don’t become blue/black stop
Work out at what time it stopped changing
