Q

Greenhouse effect

A

Gases such as carbon dioxide behave like a blanket around the earth. These gases allow the Suns Ray’s through but stop the heat from escaping back into space.

Q

How does the earths orbit lead to climate change

A

Sometimes it goes round in a circle. At other times the path it takes is more like an oval, taking the earth further from the sun at certain times of the year.
Oval cools down
Circle heats up

A

Tiny patches on the sun.

Surrounded by brighter areas and more energy from the sun, so the earth could get warmer.

Q

Volcanic activity

A

When they erupt they send large amounts of sulphate gas, ash, dust into the atmosphere
Mix with water vapour in the air to produce sulphur acid
Reflects Suns energy into space
Global cooling
