How does GPS work?

A

1) Calculates distance from a measurement of time
2) Radio waves travel at the speed of light, 300 000 000 m/s
3) A GPS receiver detects signals from 3 satellites. From this it can work out your position.

A

A

1) Radio waves bounce off metal objects
2) You can find the distance using the time the reflected radio waves takes to travel
