Q

Heb 2:1-4

A

We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard so that we do not drift away. For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, how shall we escapte if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. God also testified to it by signs, wonders, and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to His will.

Q

Heb 4:9-11

A

There remains then a sabbath rest for the people of God. For anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work just as God did from His. Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.

Q

Heb 4:12

A

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Q

Hebrews 4:15

A

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

Q

Heb 5:14

A

But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

17
Q

Heb 6:11-12

A

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure

18
Q

Heb 6:19

A

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,

19
Q

Hebrews 7:3

A

Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.

20
Q

Hebrews 7:15-16

A

And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life.

21
Q

Heb 7:25

A

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

22
Q

Matt 7:24

A

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

23
Q

Heb 10:10

A

We have been made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all

24
Q

Heb 10:14

A

By one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

25
Q

Hebrews 10:39

A

But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.

26
Q

Hebrews 11:1-2

A

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.

27
Q

Hebrews 11:3

A

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

28
Q

Hebrews 11:6

A

Without faith it is impossible to please God bc anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that he rewards those that ernestly seek him.

29
Q

Hebrews 12:1-3

A

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverancethe race marked out for us, Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. Who for the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

30
Q

Hebrews 12:7,11

A

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? ………………..No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

31
Q

HEB 12:14-15

A

Make every effort to live at peace with all men and be holy, without holiness no one will see The Lord. See to it that no one misses the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

32
Q

Hebrews 13:1

A

Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.

33
Q

Hebrews 13:4

A

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

34
Q

Hebrews 13:5-6

A

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

35
Q

Hebrews 13:7-8

A

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

36
Q

Hebrews 13:10

A

We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat.

37
Q

Hebrews 13:17

A

Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.
