The belief that Euro’s and Amer’s had a duty to civilize other parts of the world.
White Man’s Burden
An intentional mass murder of a particular group of people.
Genocide
A system that divides people.
Apartheid
Thinking your culture is superior to others and applying your cultural values to judge people in other cultures.
Ethnocentrism
A special ceremony or ritual that marks someone moving to a new stage of life. (Graduation, Birthdays)
Rite of Passage
They have a high standard of living and economies based on a combination of industry, service, and agriculture.
Developed Nation
They have low standards of living, little industry, and an economy that mostly relies on farming.
