Patient's blood request forms and patient's notes
Butterfly device
Vacutainer barrel

non-sterile gloves
plastic apron
clean receptacle to put things in
sharps bin
antiseptic wipes

gauze
cotton wool and tape

What is done before initiating the procedure ?

Introduce yourself
Identify the patient
Explain procedure and gain consent
Ask about allergy to surgical tape

How should you introduce yourself?

give full name and post
