Q

Describe what Regular Secondary Dentine is

A

Gradually Fills the pulp (boundary marked by change in direction of tubules)

4
Q

Describe Irregular Secondary Dentine

A

Hypermineralised dentine that fills the tubules. natural aging process. Can be used to age teeth. Happens quickly if damaged.

6
Q

forms a meshwork like matrix with collagen around the tubules.

7
Q

A

dentine in tubules becomes translucent due to ageing or injury. translucency is caused by. due to peritubular and intertubular dentine having the same refractive index.

8
Q

Describe Reparative Dentine

A

When all odontoblast cells are killed, similar cells specialise and migrate to the pulpal surface, coating it in a bone like material

9
Q

Where is the plexus of raschkow found?

located beneath the cell rich zone. unmyelinated nerve cells travel up to the odontoblasts
