Hypothyroidism causes

A

➢Usually due to malfunction of the thyroid
➢Hashimoto disease: Chronic autoimmune thyroiditis
➢Insufficient iodine in the diet
➢Surgical removal of thyroid and destruction of thyroid with radioactive iodine
➢Insufficient secretion of TSH and thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH)
