A

North and the west.

A

South and the east.

Where are most cities in the Uk located?

A

Lowland areas, and often on the main UK rivers.

Such as: London (on the thames) Liverpool (River Mersey) Cardiff (Severn Estuary)

Where is the River Clyde Lower Valley?

A

It has a wide lower valley and flood plain.

The city of glasgow is situated on the flat ground of the Cylde’s flood plain.

Where is the Lake District?

A

A natinol park that is very popular with tourists the Lake District is an upland area that has lots of glacial features.

Where is the Grampian Mountians?

A

Part of the highlands and home to Ben Nevis (the highest mountain in the Uk)
The Grampians are steep, rocky and sparsley populated.

Where is Holderness Coast?

A

Made mainly of soft boulder clay.

The cliffs are eroding quickly, which allows lanforms such as Spurn Head spit to form.

Where are the fens?

A

The fens are a flat low lying marshy area.

They used to be larger but much has been drained for farming.

Where is Dorset Coast?

A

Bands of hard and soft rock in the Dorset Coast, which lead to landforms such as stacks arches and spits.

Where is Snowdonia?

A

Glaciated upland area formed from rock from an old volcano.

Contains steep mountains such as Snowdon, and glaciated valleys.
