What did people believe about the nazis involvement in the fire?

A

Some believed the nazis set up van der lubbe to start the fire so they could catch him. Some thought he would start a little fire and then nazi storm troopers would finish it off

A

He reacted so strongly towards the fire being the communists fault so he couldn’t have done it

A

The tunnels to the reichstag have many locked doors and after the fire, the doors were still locked
