The present tense:
The present tense is used to talk about what usually happens (e.g. I GO to school every day) or about how things are (e.g. French lessons ARE very boring.) In Spanish, it can also be used to talk about what is happening now (e.g. I AM DOING my homework).
Regular verbs:
To use a verb in the present tense, you remove the infinitive ending and add a new ending for each person. Each of the three verb groups (-ar, -er, -ir) has a different set of endings that you need to learn.
