A

Stalin wanted to cripple Germany to protect the ussr from future threats, but Truman didn’t want a repeat of what happened after WW1

A

20mil Russians had died in the war and Stalin wanted Germany to pay major compensation, again Truman didn’t want a repeat of what happened after ww1

A

At Yalta Stalin won an agreement that he could set up pro soviet governments in Eastern Europe, Truman became very unhappy about Russian intentions and developed a get tough attitude towards Stalin
