Dystopian view and bio-conservatism

A

technology is an inherently dehumanising force. industrial efficiency goes far beyond what is possible by human labour alone, and where human enhancement is fact. Tech isolates us and alienates us from our fellow humans. Encourages narcissism and the cult of perfection. Destroys the environment. The threat to the biological orer of things and the living world is both dangerous and immoral. Ignoring the needs of our own species.

Tecnology is an instrument. It is values neutral. We must look to the social context instead, and understand how technology can be put into bad and good use.

Since 2000, overall procedures have risen 115 percent, but the types of procedures patients are choosing are changing.
