Arco (played with bow) and pizzicato (plucked with fingers)
Mutes/sordini soften the sound

Clarinet is single reed, oboe and bassoon are double reed

Trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba
Mutes/sordini soften the sound

Instruments either pitched or unpitched

The notes they read are different to the notes which sound
Can’t read another instrumen’ts music without a change in pitch
