23-01 FIRE ALARM ACTIVATION - NO FIRE CONDITIONS

What steps need to be taken on arrival?(4)

A
  1. Make contact with individuals on premises.
  2. locate alarm panel and/annunciator panel
  3. once location of alarm is determined personnel shall respond to floor/area to determine the cause of activation
  4. if required personnel shall make the appropriate announcement via the voice communication system

  5. advise that while still in alarm the system is functioning with the exception of the alarm area/floor
  6. have owner/tenant set up fire watch in the affected area/floor

  4. When no key-holder responds and checks are complete, complete an NTR, leave it in a prominent place, and leave the scene

  1. visible sign of fire
  2. visible uninterrupted water flow
  3. obvious potential for immediate danger to life and property (i.e. smell of gas)
