• Privatised family lives focused around pride in the home and improving it aesthetically.
• Strong focus on consumption and purchasing material goods perhaps as a hobby in some cases.

• Sense of fatalism, “what happens, happens” and resignation to powerful people who control facets of their lives.
• Instant gratification “live in the moment” causing worse health outcomes and poorer lifestyle choices.
• Typically people worked manual jobs for low pay and formed their identity around occupation and what this entailed.

What may prevent the MC and WC from partaking in certain sports?

Financial barriers and equipment costs are prerequisites for many sporting activities which put people off or outright stop them from playing sports such as:

• Fencing
• Skiing
• Horse Riding
• Polo

Social stigma may also exist as the lack of their own social class playing these sports may put them off even joining or attempting to join clubs and groups.
