A

Adenotonsilectomy

A

Failure to Thrive
Neurocognitive Defect
Hypertension
Cor Pulmonale

What potentially worrying conditions are normal in kids?

A

Napping/Enuresis is only ‘relatively’ abnormal after 3-5 yrs.
Sleep walking is normal
Sleep terrors & hypnogogic Jerks

How does Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy affect kids and how is it treateD?

A

It causes nocturnal desaturation and can progress to resp. failure and death.
ITs treated with BiPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure)

How does cerebral palsy affect sleep in kids/treatment?

A

IT causes delayed or fragmented sleep and we treat with melatonin

Snoring can progress to OSA
