Q

What is kara?

A

It is a bracelet Sikhs wear around their right hand. They are steel, because not everyone can afford silver or gold and so making them silver means everyone is equal. It reminds Sikhs that God is watching them, and may once have been used to protect Sikhs from the Kirpan
