He excommunicated them and had release them from the protection of the church. Excommunication is for the good of the church and the good of the offender

It’s for the church and the offender. By being separated from the church they may realize that they are separated from God
What does Paul mean in 1 Timothy 2:11-12 regarding who can teach?
Paul is talking about submission. He was referring to women who are not under submission. He just finished explaining how a woman should behave and dress which is part of submission
What does husband of one wife mean?
A person divorced without justification after becoming a Christian cannot be a pastor or elder in the church
