1
Q

How is glucose made?

A
  • By photosynthesis in which it is quickly turned into starch in the plant
2
Q

What later happens to this starch?

A
  • It is broken into sugars which are used in a variety of ways in the plant
3
Q

How can we maximise plant growth?

A
  • The rate of photosynthesis must be maximised as the glucose in photosynthesis is used to make proteins for growth, as well as for respiration
4
Q

What will increasing the amount of CD or water do?

A
  • It will not increase the rate of photosynthesis
5
Q

So then how can we increase the rate of photosynthesis?

A
  • By increasing the amount of light. Light is the limiting factor
6
Q

What is the ‘Limiting Factor’?

A
  • A single factor that when in short supply can limit the rate of a process such as photosynthesis
