Imagism

A

The image is all that matters, its “rightness” and complete focus

A

When one line of poetry runs into the next with no punctuation

  • You do not pause at the end of a line, unless there is punctuation.

Ballad

A

Four lined stanzas rhyming e.g. A-B-C-B

  • not defined by their subject matter, and can be about anything
