Serum creatinine
eGFR
Serum electrolytes (sodium, potassium)
Check within 2-4 weeks of starting therapy or increasing dose, then atleast annually throughout therapy

List 1 parameter that should be monitored when a patient is taking calcium-channel blockers for hypertension

Heart rate
Maintain above 55 beats per minute

Serum creatinine
eGFR
Serum electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium)
Uric acid (if gout is suspected)
