Q

simple harmonic motion

A
  • oscillatory motion under a retarding force proportional to the amount of displacement from an equilibrium position
    1. Amplitude A = how large the oscillation is = distance from the middle (EP) to the ends. Unit = m
    1. Period T = how much time an oscillation takes = how many seconds per one oscillation.
      Unit = s
  • T = seconds / oscillations
    1. Frequency f = how many oscillations happen per second. Unit = Hz, “Hertz”, = osc/sec.
  • f = oscillations / seconds
