Q

WOW Switch functions

A

Table 2-1 WOW switch functions

4
Q

Crash actuated systems

A

Fire extinguisher system - omnidirectional intertia switch, impact of 10 Gs or more will fire both engine compartments.

5
Q

Fuel pressure warning system

A

FUEL PRESS Low comes on when there is a air leak or failure of fuel boost pump

6
Q

TQ Motor

A
The torque motor acts as an interface
between the ECU/DEC and the load demand schedule of the HMU. ECU/DEC trimming of the HMU reduces pilot load by automatically keeping Np and Nr constant (Np governing), keeping power outputs of the engines closely matched (load sharing), and preventing TGT from reaching
destructive levels (TGT limiting).
7
Q

ENGINE BLEED-AIR SYSTEM

A

Two bleed-air ports are incorporated on the engine. The outboard port supplies bleed-air to the engine air inlet anti-icing system.
The inboard port ties into the pressurized
air system. Air from this port is supplied to the cabin heating system and can be supplied to the other engine for
crossbleed starts.

8
Q

Engine anti-icing is a combination of bleed-air and heated engine oil

A

engine anti-ice/start bleed valve opens during starting and will remain open at low power settings until engine reaches 88 to 92%

9
Q

ATM requirements (ATP)

A

48 hours semi-annually, pilots or copilot seat (FAC 1)
9 hours NVG flight (3 can be sim NVG)
18 hours annually SIM (FAC 1, 12hrs can go to semi-annual per quarter)
HOOD/CBRN as determined br CDRN
