adam's position

patient bends forward at the waist, doctor observes for any change in scoliosis as the patient flexes forward at the waist

patient has to use upper body strength to get up from a sitting position

patient is prone, doctor flexes patient's leg to ipsilateral buttocks

quick test

patient bends to a squatting position and bounces up and down 3 times

bilateral leg lowering test

patient is supine. doctor brings legs up as far as they will go, patient brings them down slowly.
doctor tells them to stop at 45 degrees before going all the way down

patient is seated and maximally slumped. have them extend their knee
