Q

Describe the engine

A

PT6A-65B, reverse flow, gas turbine engine with a 1100 SHP (1174 ESHP due to exhaust thrust) on each engine. Air travels through 4 axial compressors, one centrifugal flow compressor, an array of diffuser tubes (to straighten the airflow), and enters the annular combustion chamber. 14 fuel nozzles (primary + secondary) mix fuel with the air. 2 igniters during startup.
