analytic

a statement that contains the predicate within itself. It needs no evidence (holds within its self the truth)
e.g. all triangles have 3 sides

a statement which needs evidence to verify if its true or false.
e.g. Elizabeth is a queen

cannot not exist- holds the reason for being within itself

the truth/a certain thing

depends on something else for its existence

the mistake of assuming that if something is true in one case or person, it is the same in all situations

a full and complete explanation

a chain of events going backwards forever

inductive argument

The premises do not necessarily lead to the conclusion
e.g. the sun is shining today, the sunshine's in July, therefore its July

deductive argument

the premises must logically lead to the conclusion
e.g. all men are moral, Socrates is a man, therefore Socrates is moral
