What is Zionism?
Giving Jewish people a secure national home, and a commitment to giving the Jewish people a place to develop culture. There is a crisis, and something radical must be done to change the situation.

Theodor Herzl.
Was the Zionist Movement made up of religious or secular movements?
Both.
Did the Haredi Jews support or oppose the movement, and why?
Opposed, as Zionism was trying to make Jews behave normally, like other people.
Does Israel have a constitution?
No.
Why doesn’t Israel have a constitution?
Because they have not fulfilled the gathering of the exiles.
Why did the Jewish people prevail over the Arabs when the Arabs outnumbered the Jews?
The Jews had a national movement that was crystallized, and people are motivated and organized. Brought with them a sense of nationalism from Europe.
Who proposed the partition?
The Peel Commission.
What was the purpose of the British Mandate?
Publicly, it was to create a Jewish homeland according to the Balfour Declaration; however, it was really to protect their interests in this region (such as the Suez Canal).

What was the Balfour Declaration contradicted by?
The McMahon-Hussein Correspondence.
What did Britain claim in 1939 in the White Paper?
That they were an honest broker.
