1
Q

Where are internal interferences most common?

A

Lingual side

2
Q

Shells will shift where?

A

Towards the interference

3
Q

How do you do a reline?

A

1) Apply separate media to hard and soft tissue
2) Clean and pretreat the shell provisional with monomer
3) Adapt the loaded shell provisional on to abutments
4) Reline pontic without overflowing the material
5) Careful trimming and brush beading if necessary
6) Check occlusion, contacts
7) Finish and polish

4
Q

Open margin

A

Vertical space that catches the explorer in both directions

5
Q

Overhang

A

Horizontal discrepancy

Oversized restoration at the margin so it catches the explorer in coronal direction

6
Q

Submargin (ledge)

A

Horizontal discrepancy, undersized restoration at the margin so it catches the explorer in apical direction

7
Q

Overcontour

A

Good margin, but over contoured at the emergence profile

Margin does not catch the explorer

8
Q

Facial embrasures have to be symmetric to…….

A

contralateral tooth

9
Q

Lingual embrasures can be minimal to assure what?

A

Sufficient size connector

10
Q

Incisal embrasures have to be symmetric to…….

A

contralateral tooth

11
Q

Gingival embrasures have to allow what?

A

Hygiene access without compromising size and esthetics

12
Q

What should be the characteristics of gingival embrasures?

A

0.5 mm above the margin
0.5 mm above the FGM in clinical setting
Convex toward the gingiva

13
Q

Occlusion

A

Drag 1 layer of shimstock

Every tooth should have contact

14
Q

Interproximal contact

A

Draf 2 layers of shimstock

Area contact and not point contact

15
Q

Tissue surface contact

A

Drag 1 layer of shimstock
