All eductors of engine companies will be tested at weekly MUD using the following procedure:
• Stretch a hose line
• Insert the eductor in the supply line
• Start water to the foam nozzle
• ECC to supply 200 PSI to the eductor
• Place your hand over the bottom of the foam pickup tube. You should feel suction. If you do not get suction check the following;
1. The washers between the pickup tube and the eductor.
2. That the eductor-proportioning valve is not set at zero.
3. That the ball in the eductor is not stuck.
