How did Canadians feel about alcohol

A
  • start of 20s; Canadians field alcohol was causing negativity
  • seen as taking away from the war effort. Ex. Grain was used for ancho in stead of food for soldiers
  • groups; temperance movement worked to ban alcohol
  • by the end of World War One all Canadian province except Quebec prohibited the sale of alcohol; bars and tavern shut down
