A

Health means well-being.

A

It means having the ability to cope with every day.

what is an immunisation

A

An immunisation or vaccination is given to people of all ages to prevent diseases such as mumps, measles and rubella. A small dose of the disease is given to the person. The body produces antibodies to fight the disease. If the person comes into contact with the disease again, the body is ready to fight it and doesn’t catch it.

A booster shot is a top-up on the immunisation to make sure that it will last for a long time.

A

Aerobic exercise is exercise that makes you breathe faster and makes your heart and lungs work harder.

A

Reduces risk of heart disease and stroke, reduces stress, creates a ‘feel good’ factor, is a way of socialising, helps you to sleep better, helps to maintain a healthy weight, helps to control blood pressure.

include at least 30 minutes per day as a part of your normal daily activities (play, sport, transport, leisure),
Engage in three or more 20 minute sessions of vigorous activity per week,
choose an activity you like,
exercise with friends if it is more fun,
stretch your muscles before and after exercising.
