Pharaoh sends for Joseph to interpret his dreams because magicians can’t.
1st dream – 7 plump cows being swallowed by a latter group of 7 thin, weak cows.
2nd dream – 7 full heads of grain being swallowed by a latter group of 7 scorched heads of grain.
Both dreams are equal interpretations of future Egypt. Pharaoh set Joseph over all of Egypt. For the first 7 years, Joseph gathered up abundance of grain; then 7 years of famine, people came to Joseph to buy grain. Pharaoh only wanted a fifth of the harvest.
