Late descent

A

1) If ATC doesn’t clear for descent,
2) open speed intervene reduce speed to conserve energy.
3) Once cleared, higher speed and or speed brakes required to recapture path.
OR;
start fast descent and
4) keep high speed by setting higher TGT speed in box. Path will be recalculated

A

VNAV PTH will revert to VNAV SPD.
Monitor and call this.
take action to recapture the PTH

Descent planning at or below

A

1) enter AT or BELOW constraints in the FMC LEGS page
2) connect the shortcutted WYP and DO NOT EXEC
3) Let FMC recompute lower altitude at a given point and memorize it
4) ERASE shortcut
5) enter altitude constriction at the point in existing route at XXXXB and execute.

FMC CDY ENTRY PROCEDURE

A

–INIT REF enter AZFW and call out. captain compares to load sheet. (ATOW plus TF) and check with load sheet
EXECUTE
–N1 LIMIT assumed temp and derate. checks and checks gauges
–TAKEOFF PAGE - FLAPS, MACTOW captain verifies and enters V2 in MCP arm ATT LNAV VNAV
–APPROACH REF PAGE verify VREF40 cross check with OPT
