A

The more distant future, as opposed to the future proche: Je vais manger des haricots.

How to form the future simple?

A

If the verb ends in er or ir, leave it in the infinitive and add “avoir” endings:

Je parlerai, tu parleras, il parlera, nous parlerons, vous parlerez, ils parleront.

If it is an re verb, drop the e then add the endings.

What about verbs like espérer, préférer, etc that normally need a spelling change when conjugated? EG je préfére?

A

They don’t change in the future simple: je préférerai.

How to use si and the future?

A

To talk about possible future events. Use si in a present tense clause, then follow that with futur or imperitive. Si Anna achète un appareil numérique, elle me donnera son appareil traditionnel.
