SAFETY CHECK

TIMING:
- Before reading silent checklist
-Also, prior to walk-around when;
1. Accepting an aircraft
2. Aircraft was left unattended by crew
3. Aircraft was completely powered down

- AIRWORTHINESS [ref. Airworthiness]
- EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT [ref. Emergency Equipment]
- CREW OXYGEN MASKS [FFOD]

2. HYDRAULIC PUMPS - OFF
3. LANDING GEAR HANDLE - DOWN
4. FLAPS - 0 (or matching outside)
5. SPOILERS - STOWED
6. RADAR - OFF
7. PARKING BRAKE - ON
8. ADG HANDLE - STOWED
9. BATT MASTER - ON
10. FFOD FIREX TEST - COMPLETE
11. AC POWER - ESTABLISH

ORIGINATING CHECK
(FLOW)

FLOW:
1. AUDIO WARNING PANEL - CHECK DCU 1/2 (DESELECT/EXTINGUISHED/GUARDED)
2. EFIS CONTROL PANEL - DRP (NORM), RA (TEST)
3. CLOCKS - SET CORRECTLY & MATCHING

ORIGINATING CHECK
(TASKS)

TIMING:
Both pilots accomplish this flow prior to the captain calling for the Originating Check(list)
It is conducted:
- FFOD
- after a crew change
- after maintenance
- after the aircraft was completely powered down

TAXI CHECK

TIMING:
After engine start is complete, the CP & FO co plate the taxi check flow. This may be done during push back. The CO calls for the Taxi Check, and the FO conducts a challenge & response checklist prior to aircraft forward movement.

Accomplished in one of these 2 scenarios
1. TWO-ENGINE TAXI
- Conducting FFOD checks
- Operating on contaminated ramp or taxiway(s)
- Short taxi out (

4. BLEED SOURCE - CONFIGURED

LEFT ENGINE START FLOW

TIMING:
The CP conducts the ENGINE START FLOW and calls for the Engine Start Check. The FO conducts the challenge & response checklist. After the checklist is complete, the CP calls for engine start as appropriate, and the FO starts the engine(s).

Flight deck door remains locked until completion of shutdown check.
