A

System A or B can operate all of the primary flight controls.

The active system is determined by the active FCC, determined by:

  • Side of active autopilot, or
  • Side which activated the flight director first

A small green annunciator exists on the MCP, “MA”

Captain side –> system A
FO side –> system B
