Empathize - remember when you were a youth
Affirm - remind them that sexual desires are a normal thing
Direct - remind them that it is not easy to abstain from sexual immorality
Enlist - encourage them to devise their own plan of abstaining from sexual immorality
Refer - when you are embarrassed, unqualified, or a different gender than the youth

  • Any visual material that shows impairment of the body in a sexual conduct with a child, sexual violence and degradation, and anal or oral intercourse
  • anything we use for sexual gratification or escape - whether it was intended for that purpose or not
